About us:

Oral Health Services provide a range of free dental services to eligible clients living in Central Queensland. We provide services for adults in community dental clinics and children in mobile dental vans or school clinics.

About the role:

As the Dental Assistant you will assist in the provision of general practitioner services within the delivery system for oral health care to eligible clients through Health Service facilities. This may involve traveling to several other facilities located across the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service and may incur overnight stays.

About you:

To be considered for this role, a Certificate III in Dental Assisting would be highly regarded, but is not mandatory in addition to;

  • Knowledge or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge in the Information System for Oral Health (ISOH) and to utilise the system in capturing patient information and scheduling appointments.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise and consult with all levels of staff and patients, to manage conflict and to deal with sensitive and confidential matters appropriately.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team or autonomously, utilise discretion in decision making and prioritising.

What we offer:

Salary information:

Salary rates between $37.71 to $40.53 p.h. (including 23% casual loading).
