Registered Nurse

We are currently seeking an experienced RN who is passionate about providing high quality care to our aged care clients across the Gladstone region. You will need to be friendly, positive, and determined to make a difference. You need to demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy, and treating others with dignity and respect. You’ll be a natural relationship builder, honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

Employment status

Casual (with the potential to lead to permanent part time).
Hourly rate: from $50.90/hr – 57.85/hr based on experience and qualifications.

Selection criteria
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • First Aid & CPR certificates or willingness to obtain
  • Australian National Police check obtained in the last 3 months
  • Experienced in assessing and planning care needs within the community
  • Driver’s Licence and reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Combined Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Blue Card

Duties and responsibilities

  • Conducting Comprehensive Assessments, co-creating Care Plans for clients and conducting 6 monthly and 12 monthly reviews when required.
  • Attend to any clinical needs of the client which may include medication management, wound care and referring to allied health when required.
  • Ensure client services are resourced efficiently and delivered according to legislative and best practice guidelines.
  • Maintain communication with client and/or client representatives and other bodies as necessary.
  • Participate in risk identification, assessment and control.
  • Address WHS issues and manage preventative and follow up actions to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Participate in WHS consultation and training as required.
  • Develop and encourage strong and strategic relationships and partnerships through key networks.
  • Regular contact with key stakeholders such as local hospital discharge planners, ACAT and RAS assessors and Social Workers.
