Each year at Northcott we offer New Graduates the opportunity to transition from student to Allied Health Professional in our supportive and successful New Graduate Program.

Multiple positions are available immediately for promising Occupational Therapists. We also offer assistance with relocation costs to help you settle in to your new location.

At Northcott we offer New Graduates;
  • A dedicated 12-week program, so that you can pick up therapy duties with ease,
  • A unique buddy system utilising our large and friendly therapy team,
  • New Graduate Support Network,
  • Ongoing regular clinical supervision from an experienced therapist,
  • Peer support from your friendly multidisciplinary team and full operational support from management.
  • we also offer a 9 day fortnight following your 6 months probation

In addition to this, all therapists not just new graduates, are offered continued support through regular supervision, discipline specific team meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings, whole of therapy forum’s and structured internal training.

About the role:
  • Positions will commence immediately!
  • You will be an active member of our New Graduate Support Network,
  • You will be responsible for managing your caseload to provide timely and evidence based intervention to people across the lifespan. From pre-schoolers, school-aged children, adolescents and young adults, to older adults with a range of conditions,
  • You will provide intervention in a variety of locations; clinics, schools/preschools, in-home, group homes, via telehealth or at day programs. These may be delivered on an individual, group or consultative basis.
  • You will be supported with a thorough induction process, 12-week new graduate program, ongoing clinical supervision and operational support,
  • You will attend internal professional development and following probation have access to a generous external professional development budget relevant to your caseload and personal development goals so that you continue to expand your skills and learning. In addition to this you are given 10 days paid professional development per year,
  • You are allocated IT equipment such as an iPhone and MacBook to help you work remotely,
  • You have access to the use of a pool of company cars or you can utilise your own, with kilometre reimbursements.
  • You will be joining a large multidisciplinary team of over 100 therapists across NSW, ACT & QLD
About you:
  • Genuine interest and commitment to the human services industry
  • An understanding of NDIS is desirable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage acaseload in an efficient and effective manner
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with AHPRA or Occupational Therapy Australia
  • Experience working with children, young people and adults with disability is desirable
  • An understanding of assessments and interventions within the scope of your practice
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to drive within the region
  • NDIS worker check, or willingness to obtain
  • NSW Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
  • Current first aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
