About the role:

We are looking for passionate Occupational Therapists to join our dedicated and professional team.You will use your skills and knowledge in Occupational Therapyst to provide flexible family-centred services to children and adults with a disability and their families, within the context of a trans- or multi-disciplinary team and to maintain efficient and effective practices in line with Aruma policies and procedures. These 2 x Permanent roles are flexible - Full Time or Part Time will be considered. New graduates are encouraged to apply!

Negotiable salary $85k - $105k (pro rata for PT) + super+ salary packaging + employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the Occupational Therapy needs of children and adults using appropriate assessments and observation processes.
  • Develop professional relationships with customers and their families, which respect individual styles and acknowledge their strengths and capabilities.
  • Support customers/families to identify their priorities and make informed decisions.
  • Participate in initial assessment interviews to determine appropriate ongoing service plan for the child/customer and their family.
  • To participate in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of individualised service plans.
  • To develop, record, monitor and regularly review a customer’s Occupational Therapy goals in relation to their NDIS goals and family goals in the service plan.
  • Develop assessment reports and end of plan reports, including comprehensive recommendations, as required.
  • Plan and implement individual and/ or group intervention sessions to support goals.
  • To provide interventions that promote learning through play and/or active participation for children in their natural settings e.g. home, early childhood centres, schools or community settings.

About You:
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
  • Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.
  • Empathetic and compassionate, with a keen understanding of diverse experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills to be the voice that resonates with others.
  • Enthusiastic team player, eager to collaborate and inspire.
  • Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State).
