The role:
This is your chance to join eHealth Queensland, one of Queensland's largest Information Management (IM)/ Information and Communication Technology (ICT) functions.

This role is focused on delivering and sustaining critical information services and innovative technology solutions to support delivery of healthcare services for Queenslanders. The core behaviours of our team are based on collaboration, innovation and customer focus. 

Key responsibilities include:
  • Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with other staff within the branch to ensure the alignment and integration of operational services, processes and service levels across the branch.
  • Provide high level technical skills in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements.
  • Provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, preferably with the ITIL framework.
  • Ensure end to end service delivery for enterprise systems within Queensland Health. 
Are you right for this role?
The ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and promoting ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / test / change and configuration management. (SFIA: USUP Level 4, PBMG Level 4, CHMG Level 4, CFMG Level 3, TEST Level 4)
  • Demonstrated expertise and technical skills in one or more of the following: (SFIA: TECH Level 5) Webb Apps
  • o Contemporary operating languages incl .Net, C# and Blazor.

    o Application support

    o Implementation and performance tuning of code

  • Provide high level of technical expertise to provide technical direction, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focus organisation. (SFIA: ITOP Level 4, TECH Level 5)
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
  • Well-developed ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, other technical domain specialists, application specialists and end users. (NHS: Collaborative Working)
  • Demonstrated skills in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements.
 Specific Working Conditions:
  • Participation in on-call arrangements may be required for this position. Appropriate remuneration under the Award will apply
  • Flexible work arranges are currently in force allowing for the successful applicant to work from a combination of home / office. These arrangements are subject to negotiation with the unit's Manager and will always have a requirement to work within the business's primary location.
