Manager, Cardiovascular Operating Room FTJob Title: Nursing Department Manager, Cardiovascular Operating Room FTLocation: Los Angeles, CA, USType: Onsite, PermanentSalary: USD $148,800 $192,500 / yrEssential Responsibilities:Manages the delivery of nursing services and safe patient care on a 24-hour basis, ensuring compliance with standards and performance measures.Establishes and maintains patient care and service standards to meet organizational goals and regulatory requirements.Develops strategic plans for integrated services and continuous improvement of clinical practices.Monitors departmental budgets, identifies cost-saving strategies, and ensures appropriate staffing levels.Develops and monitors departmental policies, procedures, and standards of care.Manages human resource and risk management issues, promoting an organizational culture of safety.Participates in leadership committees and forums at various levels.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Experience: Minimum five (5) years of clinical nursing experience, including three (3) years of management, supervisory, or leadership experience.Education: Academic degree in nursing required (Bachelors or Masters degree). BSN and National Health/Nursing Administration Certification or MSN required for certain departments.License/Certification/Registration: Registered Nurse License (California), Basic Life Support.Additional Requirements:Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, TJC, and other regulations.Demonstrated interpersonal and management skills.Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience with electronic medical records.Masters degree.National Certification in specialty.Non-negotiable Requirements:California RN license.American Heart Association BLS.BSN or MSN.Minimum of 5 years of FT equivalent operating room RN experience in an acute care setting, with a few years of cardiothoracic OR experience.Minimum of 3 years of FT equivalent Manager or Supervisor experience, not including Charge Nurse experience.Nice-to-Have Skills:MSN.CNOR.Management experience in a union environment.
