The Role

Looking to make a difference? We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist for an opportunity in a Psychiatry Emergency Service. Some of your responsibilities include but are not limited to provision of physical and psychiatric investigation and patient treatment and participating in video conference emergency assessments for the region. As a Consultant, you will be conducting acute assessments of patients who self-present, are brought to emergency services by family/friends, or who have been referred from a major hospital in the area.
 
 
The Facility 
Part of a major mental health service providing psychiatric services to those living with acute mental illness, this dedicated psychiatry emergency service includes an acute assessment office, inpatient care with short-stay beds and a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit.
 
The Role

Full Time ongoing position for a Psychiatrist. 1.0FTE
 
The Requirements: 
  • Hold the Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)
  • International Medical Graduates that have been assessed as Substantially Comparable by RANZCP.
  • NZ FRANZCP or SMO willing to be Assessed
