About us:

The Perioperative Unit is located in block seven of Gladstone Hospital. The Gladstone Hospital has two operating rooms and a procedure room. Services include Elective and Emergency Surgery, Day Surgery, Pre-Anaesthetic Clinic and CSSD.

The Perioperative Unit provides clinical care through the development and maintenance of relevant and proven patient care standards involving ongoing research in clinical applications.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Mandatory qualification/s: Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current employment within CQHHS at Gladstone Hospital is a requirement.
  • Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience.
  • Proven ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
  • Knowledge of legal and professional responsibilities for contemporary nursing models of care.
  • Demonstrated high standard of written and oral communication skills with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and their families.
  • Proven ability to provide clinical education and support and demonstrate own ongoing professional development.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $8,251 p.m. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $40.51 - $51.97 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
