The role 

The Senior Technical Business Analyst plays an instrumental role in connecting diverse audiences—including the public, patients, carers, clinicians, and industry professionals—to crucial health information and resources. Your expertise will be pivotal to enhancing Queensland Health's digital channels and products, acting as the bridge between the technical and business worlds. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the charge in user-centered design, turning research and user feedback into intuitive digital solutions. 
  • Conduct strategic stakeholder workshops to extract complex requirements and transform them into actionable digital roadmaps.
  • Forge comprehensive functional requirements, including detailed user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead web development workflows, ensuring strategic objectives are met with precision and agility.
  • Ensure product excellence through meticulous functional testing and quality assurance.
  • Lead the setup and maintenance of web sites and products in our Squiz Matrix CMS
  • Navigate stakeholder dynamics with proactive management and effective change management strategies.
  • Advocate for and contribute to the Queensland Government Design System, fostering its widespread adoption.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years Business Analyst experience or similar role, with a portfolio of successful web projects.
  • Expertise in agile methodologies, UX/UI design, and web development processes.
  • Strong technical ability to understand web-based solutions including content management systems (i.e. Squiz Matrix, GovCMS etc).
  • Ability to work closely with web developers, tech leads and architects and build strong relationships with a shared focus on delivering great products.
  • Demonstrated skills in stakeholder engagement, change management, and project communication within large-scale, complex environments.
  • Self-motivated and delivery-focused, capable of working independently, managing and prioritising tasks effectively to meet key performance indicators and deadlines.

Strongly desired:

  • Experience with Squiz Matrix CMS and related DXP solutions
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (Google Analytics).
  • Understanding of web accessibility guidelines.
