For our Speech Therapy Service, which is one of the largest speech therapy providers in Chicago, working with three major hospitals and 300+ home health agencies is looking for several Speech Language Pathologists for patients in Chicago and surrounding areas.The roles and responsibilities are as follows:Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' speech, language, and swallowing disorders.- Establish accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.- Develop and implement effective speech and language therapy interventions to address patients' needs.- Provide rehabilitation services to improve communication, articulation, language expression, and swallowing function.- Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes.- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting assessments, progress, and treatment plans.- Prepare and submit timely reports to physicians, healthcare team members, and other relevant stakeholders.- Educate patients and their caregivers on speech and language disorders, treatment plans, and home exercises.- Guide communication strategies and techniques to facilitate optimal patient functioning.- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure integrated and coordinated patient care.- Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies.- Adhere to professional and ethical standards in speech-language pathology practice.- Stay informed about industry regulations and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines.Qualifications:1. Education:- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.2. Licensure and Certification:- Valid and active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).3. Experience:- Minimum of [X years] of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, with a preference for home health experience.4. Skills:- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in speech-language pathology.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.- Proficient in using relevant assessment tools and therapeutic techniques.5.
