As HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Workplace Manager in day to day implementation and maintenance of the organisation’s HSE Management System and the Workplace Risk Management Plan. The Health Safety Environment Advisor may also be responsible for assisting with the ongoing and day-to-day provision of HSE support, advice, training and reporting functions.
Your responsibilities will include:Assist in the development and implementation of HSE initiatives and programs consistent with the Workplace Risk Management Plan and Legislative requirements.Assist in the development and distribution of monthly HSE reports, presentations and HSE topics that Management & employees with Workplace injury statistics, new initiatives & system changes.Actively participate in formal and informal communication to increase understanding & awareness of HSE issues.Provide accurate & timely advice to Managers on any prevailing HSE issues.Continually review work practices and recommend ways in which processes and systems can be improved.Assist in the preparation of monthly HSE report and completion of monthly HSE scheduled activities.Conduct regular HSE inspections and Service Provider Implementation reviews across your designated project.Undertake risk assessments of new or changed plant, chemicals, etc.Lead or facilitate incident investigations with site management to ensure the root causes and corrective actions are identified.Help maintain computer-based incident data.The Project
LIV Albert Fields is located in the inner north of Melbourne, approximately 6 kilometres north of the Melbourne CBD. The development will consist of 492 apartments across 2 buildings with 10 levels each. The campus style project has a 2-storey basement and a pavilion housing a gym and community centre.
Your point of difference
As an HSE Advisor, you will haev 3-5 years’ experience in overseeing and promoting HSE requirements and Broad knowledge and experience in risk assessment, auditing and review processes.
Formal qualifications in OH&S or associated fields (or well progressed) and sound understanding of Regional Legislative requirements.
You will be proficient at using and generating documents with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint with efficient time management skills.
You are a team player with good communication skills with the capability to manage conflict and change effectively.
Finally, you will have good analytical and reasoning capabilities, with ability to act with discretion and treat confidential information appropriately.
