Our client is a well-established contractor with a proven track record in the successful completion of a wide variety of projects. They are seeking a Health & Safety Officer to join their expanding team to oversee residential construction project sites in Meath/Kildare/Dublin. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently and within a team, have strong communication skills, and have strong leadership qualities. Deliver Toolbox talks. Consult with staff on RAMS briefings, lessons learned from audits or investigations, inform staff on permitting requirements and any other H&S information requirements. Compiling, updating and communication of site Emergency Plans. Ensure proper reporting of all accidents, incidents, and near misses on site and assist with the investigation and implementation of corrective action to close out on the same. Collecting and collating relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File and preparing for handover to the Client at the end of the project. Provide a proactive approach to problem-solving and to the various aspects of day-to-day health, safety, and environmental management.
RequirementsA relevant recognized EHS qualification. 2+ years' experience in construction safety. Excellent organizational skills to include report writing and records maintenance. Excellent reporting skills and proficiency in Word, Excel and reporting software. Excellent interpersonal and report writing skills. Extensive knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation. Ability to work well in a team. Flexible to travel to sites based in Meath, Kildare & Dublin. Clean Drivers License.
