We are actively seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join our Lloydminster team. The Health & Safety Advisor will develop, direct, implement, and monitor both occupational health and operational (process) safety strategies and programs. The successful candidate will provide direction for total loss control programs and will educate other work groups on health and safety requirements. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining hazardous materials programs, conducting inspections and investigations, and providing recommendations for safety improvements across our Saskatchewan Thermal Assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring, coaching, and supporting front-line staff for the Health & Safety Management System functionality.

  • Providing input into the development and implementation of the Health & Safety Management System, including the Emergency Management processes.

  • Maintaining and evaluating the Health & Safety Management System on a regular basis.

  • Supporting and guiding area emergency response plans and exercises

  • Incident response, investigations, and reporting

  • Providing ongoing safety communications to work groups and interacting with various regulatory agencies and contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in upstream oil & gas operations, with a strong understanding of sour gas operations.

  • OHS Certification.

  • CRSP designation or equivalent.

  • 10 years of process and/or occupational safety-related industry experience.

  • Extensive experience with Health & Safety Management Systems, especially the development, implementation and evaluation of these systems is required.

This position is based out of our Lloydminster office with frequent travel to field locations (80% Field/20% Office).
