Agestrong Health Group seeking an experience Full Time, Part Time or Casual (including weekends) Occupational Therapist to join our friendly, welcoming and experienced Community Allied Health team. Be part of close knit MDT (Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Therapists, Psychologists) delivering high quality, evidence based allied health services to older Australians living within the community.

About You

You are a clinician who is always learning and improving your practice and you are passionate about supporting team members. You are a strong communicator with great interpersonal skills, who has a strong commitment to patient care. 

The successful candidate will have a broad skill set and enjoys working within the community environment. You will have a passion for assisting and improving the health of your patients through a contemporary occupational therapy approach to care.

Must hold:

  • Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification
  • Current AHPRA registration or be eligible to complete the limited registration process.
  • Hold a current & valid Australian drivers license with own car or International license with a willingness to convert to an Australian license and purchase a car
  • Have relevant experience within the community and working with the geriatric population.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of OT services based on current evidence-based practices 
  • Undertake home safety assessments, complete functional capacity assessments, develop individualised plans, provide feedback to case managers regarding home modifications and assistive devices.
  • Assess and provide aids and equipment, including the completion of powered device assessments.
  • Assess and recommend falls prevention measures, pressure care management. 
  • You will have the capacity to make recommendations for other supports and services to ensure patients receive the most adequate care available.
