Licensed Vocational Nurse performs various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager.Duties of Agency nurse-Administers medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection.-Performs technical Nursing procedures according to facility and state regulations-Documents and reports pertinent observations.-Communicates orally and in writing to other team members pertinent information.-Documents according to facility policy.-Responds to emergency situations to ensure safety of individuals.-Follows safety and Infection Control Procedures of facility.-Monitors individuals for treatments and procedures.-Provides education to individuals with specific health goals.-LVN II assists other staff in turning/repositioning individuals to administer treatments.-Ensures that supplies are available.-Manages individuals medical record in Electronic Health Record or paper chart.-Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.Job Requirements for all candidates:- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.- Demonstrated computer & electronic health record skills preferred.- Licensed to practice as a licensed vocation nurse in the state of Texas (or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact).Pay:- $35/hr starting Salary- We can offer a $1000 bonus for completing full contractOther:- No extra time off will be available during the holiday season including Christmas, and New Years.- Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification- Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months- COVID-19 testing with negative result required (Facility provides test on date of OB)- COVID-19 Vaccination Card (if applicable, not mandatory)- Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provides)- Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (Facility provides)requiredANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Texas (TX)American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS) in Texas (TX)Regular Driver License (DL) in Texas (TX)Have you had a TB Test within the past year?
