About us:

The Theodore Multipurpose Health Service located 229km southwest of Rockhampton, is part of the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. Theodore is situated on the Leichhardt Highway between the junction of Castle Creek and the Dawson River.

The Theodore Multipurpose Health Service is a 10-bed facility that provides a range of health serviced to the community, including emergency, inpatients and outpatients, residential aged care and telehealth services.

About the role:

The Clinical Nurse (CN) will provide comprehensive clinical assessment and liaise with relevant health care providers to develop a plan of care and provide expert clinical support to the patients of Theodore Hospital and nursing staff to implement the care plans which includes:

  • Promoting strategies that will allow patients to be cared for in the most appropriate environment.
  • Functioning in more complex situation while providing support and direction to Registered and Non-Registered Nursing personnel.
  • Implementation and evaluation for care of clients with less predictable outcomes without supervision utilising advanced clinical and problem-solving skills.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, deliver and coordinate increasingly complex patient care at an advanced level, with efficient and effective use of resources within a collegiate team structure.
  • Knowledge of and / or involvement in Quality Management processes and / or research processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, problem solve and participate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

What we offer:

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $82,957 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
