The role:

This successful candidate will be required to provide support for the DHS ICT Change Management processes in line with ITIL best practice standards and delivered on schedule.

In addition to this you will be responsible for: 

  • Provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, within the ITIL framework.
  • Develop and maintain the processes, procedures and related systems, including stakeholder management and vendor engagement.
  • Lead changes required as per the roadmap at the request of the Senior Application Specialist.
  • Ensure end to end service delivery for enterprise systems within Queensland Health by establishing and maintaining highly effective working relationships with other technical specialists, application specialists, vendors and end users.
  • Maintain and manage effective working relationships and engage with third parties that provide technical support for the enterprise application.
  • Assist in the ongoing development, maintenance and deployment of application specific guides, work instructions and technical documents.

Are you right for this role?

  • Demonstrated ability in developing and promoting ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / test / change and configuration management (SFIA: USUP Level 4, PBMG Level 4, CHMG Level 4, CFMG Level 3, TEST Level 3)
  • Demonstrated ability in the provision of high-level specialist advice on, and support for, clinical enterprise applications (SFIA: TECH Level 5)
  • High level leadership and design of large scale, complex/high risk projects (SFIA Code: PRMG 6)  
  • High level project management skills, with the ability to achieve successful project outcomes (SFIA Code: PRMG 6 (NHS: Drive for Results)
  • High level knowledge and application of project management methodologies (Prince 2) (SFIA Code: METL 5)
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer focused ICT / Clinical Business environment (SFIA: SLMO Level 4)
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
  • Well-developed ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, other technical specialists, application specialists, vendors and end users (NHS: Collaborative Working)
  • Previous experience working with ieMR applications is preferred
