The Role
An opportunity has become available for two Allied Health Assistant's (Integrated Multi-disciplinary Proactive Risk Identification and Navigation Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide a range of clinical screening assessments as delegated by Allied Health Professionals
- Provide a comprehensive range of interventions and/or treatment programs as prescribed by a Health Practitioner
- Apply high level knowledge and skills in advising other colleagues and stakeholders to support provision of care
- Use high level communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders in order to provide professional services
- Undertake independent / autonomous daily workload management, including triaging referrals to Clinical Assistant from a multidisciplinary team
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Blue Card
- Drivers Licence
- While not mandatory, a certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance would be well regarded
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time and permanent part time (one full time position and one part time position, 15.2 hrs p.f.).
- Base salary ranging from $66 478 - $69 885 per annum or $33.52 - $35.24 per hour

The Integrated Multi-disciplinary Proactive Risk Identification and Navigation Team Services team including the Complex Care Nurse Navigator Service, the Complex Discharge Service, the Multi-Disciplinary Avoidance and Post-Acute Service and the newly created Integrated Multidisciplinary Proactive Risk Identification and Navigation Team come under the overarching leadership of the Integrated Care Services, Allied Health and Rehabilitation Services, Emergency and Specialist Services.
