The Senior Data Analyst will partner with other data teams, including Data Enhancements (within Supply Chain Surety Branch), Celonis Team (within Finance Branch), and Advisory & Continuous Improvement (within System Procurement branch), to obtain data and develop insights to ensure integrated evidence-based decisions.

About the Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation Portfolio:

The Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation (P&SCO) Portfolio builds on the foundational work undertaken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to drive operational enhancements and realise further Queensland Health system-wide benefits. The P&SCO Portfolio is a time-limited, temporary work program, currently consisting of three program workstreams, designed to improve procurement and supply chain operations across Queensland Health. 

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the use of business intelligence software and information reporting systems used for the extraction, manipulation and professional presentation and dissemination of reports from complex systems.
• Relevant experience in using contemporary analytical and data visualisation tools and practices (e.g., Celonis, PowerBI, Excel and Python), and enterprise resources planning tools such as SAP S/4HANA.
• Proven ability to develop and represent analysed data in a relevant and interesting manner to meet the needs of a range of stakeholders.
• High level written and oral communication skills including liaising, consulting and stakeholder engagement with a broad range of clients in a complex and diverse environment.
• Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal data, external data, and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
