About us:

Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchment in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area. 

Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, and is the location of the acute adult inpatient facilities. In addition, there is an Adult Step-Up Step-Down facility located in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.

About the role:

Work to deliver efficient, effective, ethical and confidential support to the Clinical Director in the Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Services team, to ensure optimal delivery of clinical services.

About you:

The ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, able to succinctly convey information.
  • Experience in coordination roles or executive support functions within a complex environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously, set priorities and use own judgement to meet deadlines, proactively identify and resolve issues in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to deliver efficient and confidential frontline business and administrative support to a Mental Health and/or Alcohol and Other Drugs team to ensure optimal delivery of clinical services.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $94,810 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $37.68 - $41.90 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
