Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently inviting applications for our Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator role.

We are seeking an experienced Perioperative Nurse to oversee our theatre team at where you will play a key leadership role within our perioperative department in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a 336 bed, 22 operating theatre facility located in Southport, the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct. Specialities include and are not limited to: 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. Gold Coast Private Hospital is continually growing and offers exciting opportunities and professional career pathways in health care.

As the Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

· Oversee safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards

· Support and liaise with the Nurse Unit Manager of the Perioperative department

· Ensure all theatres are staffed appropriately and cost efficient

· Understanding of legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilization standards

· Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality / Risk management

· Current Registration with AHPRA

· Previous experience as a Floor Coordinator

· Commitment to Quality Patient Care

· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

· Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills

· Experience in similar position (desired)

· Excellent Communication and Customer Services skills

· Highly organised and strong ability to prioritise tasks
