About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist with experience working in acute care to join our Occupational Therapy team at Box Hill Hospital on a permanent full time basis. This position, predominantly based in the acute general medical team, will be involved in providing direct clinical care, efficient discharge planning, and enhancing patient flow. The Eastern Health Occupational Therapy Service is committed to the provision of patient centred and occupationally focused care. This role will primarily be based at Box Hill Hospital however includes opportunity to work at our other acute sites and would suit a clinician with sound theoretical knowledge and clinical skills and with a desire to further their clinical expertise in acute care.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Current occupational therapy registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in acute occupational therapy and discharge planning
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
