Position Summary

Under the direction of the Community Care Program Manager, implements rehabilitation services to clients with developmental disabilities in the community including rehabilitation assessment, treatment and interventions, recommendations for specialized medical equipment and environmental modifications; education to caregivers and referrals to appropriate community resources.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 08:30 to 16:30

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Occupational Therapy program. Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
• Two years experience in acute care, long term care facility or community setting
• Previous experience in providing services to clients with developmental disability
• Community experience and previous experience with assessment for specialized wheelchairs, seating systems and technical aids.

Skills and Abilities:
• Able to work independently, set priorities.
• Able to work within a team
• Class 5 driver’s license, use of personal vehicle.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to teach.
