The local area around the hospital is experiencing rapid growth and estimates its population will increase from 55,000 to 85,000 over the next ten years.
The Facility: This is 270 bed public hospital, Aged Care & Rehabilitation Service, Community Health Service and Mental Health Service all located on one site. The hospital has enjoyed some recent redevelopment including the new Emergency Department which doubled the size of the previous department to 47 patient spaces and also the construction of a new Mental Health residential facility. The Health Service also has a Mental Health Service for Older Adult, an Acute Adult Mental Health Unit and a Centre which caters for Adult Mental Health Outpatients on the campus. The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service is also located on site.
The Role: Our client is seeking experienced individuals to the position of Consultant - Emergency Medicine. Although not a teaching hospital, this facility has a great reputation and provides good exposure to a young and diverse case mix to that of a teaching hospital.
