About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrate an ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care within the medical context.
  • Display a high standard of written and oral communication skills with the multidisciplinary team, patients and their families.
  • Demonstrate an ability with decision making and problem solving in relation to, but not limited to negotiation and patient care planning.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will provide a comprehensive, holistic nursing service to patients within the General medical Ward. The registered Nurse demonstrates nursing competence in the provision of nursing cares to inpatients and undertake delegated activities while assuming individual accountability.

About your role:

  • The Registered Nurse demonstrates nursing competence in the provision of nursing care to inpatients and outpatients and undertake delegated activities while assuming individual accountability for actions within the position and context of practice.
  • Accountable for the planning, provision and communication of nursing care including the evaluation and required revision of practice based on agreed priorities, goals, plans and outcomes.
  • Respond appropriately to sudden alterations in the health status of the patient using comprehensive nursing assessment and intervention skills.
