SPLIT POST : RNI COMMUNITY HOSPITAL AND RAIGMORE HOSPITAL
Applications are invited for a 37 hour (temporary) Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist post.
This will be split across two services. Community based Physiotherapy and Cardiac Rehabilitation. (3 days within Community service and 2 days within Cardiac Rehab)
This is a great opportunity for those experienced Band 5's looking to develop at a senior level or for those already working as a band 6 looking to increase their community and/or Cardiac Rehab experience. Please note that internal and external applicants are welcome. This would make a great secondment opportunity if you already work for NHS Highland. Previous experience of working in the NHS is essential.
This is a fantastic chance to work within an established and extremely experienced team of Physiotherapists. There is a wealth of skills and knowledge within the Physiotherapy team - this is a great chance to learn and advance your skills. The physiotherapy team forms part of a larger Multi-disciplinary team based at the RNI - the Integrated Community Team, where we work together closely with other professionals, such as OTs, Social workers and Community Nurses. Furthermore at the RNI, the Community Physiotherapy team provide rehabilitation to those patients on Ward 1.
We cover a breadth of patient conditions including Neurological, Orthopaedic, Elderly rehabilitation and Falls.
As part of the Cardiac Rehabilitation service, this will involve working within another well-established multidisciplinary team. The role is to deliver specialist, comprehensive rehabilitation services to a cohort of cardiac patients. This post will cover specialist assessments within the Heartbeat Centre at Raigmore Hospital and support with Cardiac rehabilitation classes.
A full current driving license is essential along with a car for work purposes. (to support with community post)

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
