Our client is on the lookout for an exceptional Leader to Provide strategic leadership in the development, design, and oversight of the Clinical Governance Framework and associated systems. ROLE SUMMARY Clinical governance is an integral part of our client's overall corporate governance, providing the link between corporate objectives, strategic priorities and quality care outcomes for residents. The purpose of this role is to implement a robust clinical governance system across the 3 sites. This includes the establishment of performance measures, monitoring risk, driving continuous improvement and providing training and consultation to the business regarding clinical governance. With a focus on continuous improvement the role will ensure an evidence-based focus underpinned by robust quality and safety principals. The Clinical Governance Lead will provide a clinical lens to relevant organisational projects. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Provide strategic leadership in the development, design, and oversight of the Clinical Governance Framework and associated systems. Act as central contact point for relevant information about clinical content and practice Establish performance measures, ensure compliance with appropriate accreditation systems, monitor risk and drive continuous improvement Provide oversight and coordination of quality and clinical risk assurance processes Lead the development and submission of key reports for internal and external stakeholders Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders Assist in the identification, response, and analysis of serious incidents, including mandatory reporting requirements and ASQSC and other high risk complaints; Conduct training needs analyses, identify improvement opportunities, coordinate, deliver and evaluate relevant education to support remediating gaps, and coach the Clinical Excellence Team and Clinical and Care Teams for sustainability Chair the Clinical Excellence Committee Meeting Lead accountability for reporting to the Clinical Governance Committee KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs Sound organisation and time management skills Demonstrated personal values that align with St Basil’s purpose and values. Registered Nurse with at least 5 years post registration experience Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics and competency standards Knowledge and understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards Knowledge of contemporary professional nursing and / or aged care nursing - Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills - Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines Demonstrated ability to foster a workplace environment that develops staff potential Proven ability for flexibility, innovation and creativity with in the whole of service setting Demonstrated ability in the leadership and facilitation of change management Experience with quality improvement methodologies for clinical activities Experience in evaluating the results of nursing research and integrating, where relevant, the results into nursing practice Experience in clinical management and leadership roles.
