About the role:
Gladstone Hospital Emergency department is transitioning into newly constructed $42 million state of art emergency department. This position will give opportunity in developing and implementing a contemporary evidence-based model of care.
About you:
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Staff Specialist:
- MBBS or equivalent to be eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) certification.
- Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent specialist qualification to enable registration as a Specialist in Emergency Medicine with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Applicants who have completed their ACEM Fellowship Written examination and expect to meet the essential requirements of this position within the next six months are also encouraged to apply.
- Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies.
- Senior Medical Officer:
- MBBS or equivalent to be eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Applicants who have completed their ACEM Fellowship Written examination and expect to meet the essential requirements of this position within the next six months
- Post-graduate qualifications related to generalist hospital practice (e.g. FACRRM, FRACGP, Advanced Skills Training in Emergency Medicine or Generalist Medicine) would be well regarded.
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) certification.

Total remuneration value of up to $587,413 p.a. is comprised of:
- $176,802 – $182,330 p.a. (L13 – L14)
- $176,802 – $204,206 p.a. (L13 – L18)
- $204,206 – $237,196 p.a. (L18 – L24)
- $204,206 – $244,248 p.a. (L18 – L25)
- $244,248 – $258,910 p.a. (L25 – L27)
