The role 

Reporting to the Director of Operations. Your role will be responsible to work closely with the clinical staff to provide administrative support for the delivery of telehealth models of care to rural and remote Queensland, and aeromedical retrievals across Queensland.

As an Administration Officer – Operational Support Clerk with RSQ you are a critical member of the frontline clinical and operational services. 

The successful person

You will have demonstrated:

  • Ability to consistently deliver a high level of data accuracy, customer service, demonstrating rapport building skills, listening skills and empathy.
  • Sound communication skills with the ability to interact professional and sensitively with all levels of staff, patients and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with innovative technologies in the health care setting, particularly in relation to videoconference enabled clinical services.
  • Ability to work with individuals, groups and as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team contributing to a cohesive team environment by sharing information, support and assisting colleagues in a proactive manner.
  • Strong self-management skills and flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes.

The QAS Division operates as a statewide service within Department of Health and is accountable for the delivery of pre-hospital ambulance response services, emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital patient care and transport services, inter-facility ambulance transport, aeromedical retrieval services, emergency telehealth clinical support models, confidential health assessment and information services, casualty room services and planning and coordination of multi-casualty incidents and disasters to the Queensland community.
