We are currently seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to join the Industrials & Resources Team. This role is based in our office at Southbank in Brisbane and reports to the P&C Manager. The portfolio is a National remit. The primary function of this role is to deliver high quality and accurate P&C/ER/IR advice to Managers and Employees and support our line of business to achieve project deliverables. 

About the Role

· Support the P&C component for tenders, including strategic mapping of the portfolio to ensure alignment with the broader business strategy

· Support disciplinary matters and workplace investigations

· Support Enterprise Agreement negotiations, financial modelling, benchmarking and payroll interpretation

· Broad overview of Industrial Relations and supporting stakeholders with industrial matters on site such as Right of Entry.

· Support the P&C component set up including mobilisation and recruitment processes, ensuring P&C project deliverables are met

· Regularly undertake proactive and comprehensive stakeholder engagement activities to consistently increase the level of business partnering and support across the portfolio

· Generate both regular and adhoc reports, including P&C metrics, analysis and the identification of trends

· Provide guidance on leadership and support to ensure the P&C team are compliant with UGL management systems and practices

· Support coaching on ongoing development of operational Managers and Leaders

About You

· Tertiary qualifications in HR/IR or a related discipline

· 3-5 years’ experience in a P&C function, with comprehensive exposure to IR, ER and training

· High focus on team cultural and contributing to team achievements

· Multi-site P&C experience in the industrial, Mining or Shutdowns and Outages sector is desirable

· Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels internally and externally

· High attention to detail

· Methodical and demonstrated ability to work independently, with discretion, to organise and prioritise demands, and handle complex tasks simultaneously, within a fast-paced environment

· Willingness to travel to sites across Australia, sometimes at short notice

· Adaptable and with strong negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills

· Demonstrated ability to adapt to workplace change, learn quickly, and put new skills and knowledge to immediate use

Our line of business is primarily project driven around high-volume Outages and Shutdowns. You would need to thrive in a very fast paced environment as part of a high performing and collaborative team.
