    We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (Graduate and/or Experienced) to utilise their keen occupational therapy understanding and knowledge to support client’s develop independence, build routines, return to health and if suitable, return to work, following a sustained injury or illness. Each day is different but each day you will have the opportunity to assist people to return to wellness, work and ultimately experience an improved quality of life through the following ways:

    • Perform assessments such as initial assessments, functional capacity assessments, home assessments, activities of daily living assessments, equipment trials, ergonomic assessments, pre-employment medicals, job task analysis;
    • Conduct worksite assessments, support return to work through task modification, gradual planning, and engagement in multidisciplinary approaches;
    • Assess client needs, develop strategies and interventions for a safe return to pre-injury activities;
    • Engage in formal and experiential training to develop the skills you need to feel competent and confident in your role;
    • Build rapport with key stakeholders throughout the process including the ill or injured individual, their treating health practitioners, employers and insurers.

    As part of Activities of Daily Living Assessments, you will:

    • Assess an individual'sPersonal, Domestic, and Community ADL's, and identify recommendations for services, support, and/or assistive equipment;
    • Complete equipment trails in person with your clients, to ensure this recommendation is safe and appropriate for the Injured Worker, as well as prompting independence in their day-to-day life;
    • Education to our clients and Injured Workers to compliment recommendations for support, and/or assistive equipment.
      • An allied health qualification in Occupational Therapy
      • Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) –Full or eligible upon graduation.
      • A passion for supporting quality of life, return to independence with activity, health, work and the desire to make a difference;
      • Exceptional communication skills, analytical thinking, documentation and a commitment to delivering what we say we will and when we will.
      • Current drivers' licence and access to their own vehicle.
