Barwon Health’s Operating Services includes 3 points of care; Main theatres, Gretta Volum Centre and now Building B. Between the 3 points of care there are 16 theatres and one endoscopy suite, we perform approximately 22,000 procedures per year from specialities such as; Cardiothoracic, ENT, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Oral Faciomaxillary, Plastics, Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology, Urology, Vascular and Robotic Surgery.

About the role

As the Theatre Technician you will work collaboratively with staff across all areas of Barwon Health to deliver a quality service and ensure positive patient outcomes.

Duties of you role include but not limited to:

Be familiar with daily work schedule, regularly liaise with colleagues to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks

Ensures a clean well prepared environment for patients

Ensures a safe environment for patients in relation to the correct positioning and preparation of the patient for their procedure and safe patient transfers
