About the role:
A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Dental Assistant with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high-quality person-centred care. The successful applicant will be expected to be able to provide professional chair-side assistance to the Dentist and Reception / Administration duties.

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia

2. Completion of Dental Assisting Certificate (Level II) or equivalent qualification.

3. Experience working in a Dental Clinic or private Dental Practice involving administration and reception duties

4. Effective written, verbal and computer skills.

5. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team.

6. Detailed knowledge of Infection Control procedures

7. Demonstrated capability in Patient assessment, Clinical Skills, Adult oral health education.

8. Knowledge of quality improvement principles
