ABOUT THE ROLE:  

IWC has an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Medical Team on a part-time or full-time basis. The clinic is supported by onsite nursing, and clinical staff, pathology, and imaging. Become part of a well-established and supported team of health professionals. 

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Our Medical Centre team includes GPs (with qualified supervisors), Indigenous Health Practitioners, RNs, EENs, Reception and Administration staff.
  • Access to high-quality internal specialists/corporate support services, including administration, medico-legal and IT support, allowing you more time to focus on patient care.
  • All GP's are engaged on an Employee/Employer basis. 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Training GP's must be on a pathway and be eligible to claim A1 rates; or 
  • Fellowship of the RACGP or ACRRM.
  • Bachelor of Medicine. 
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance.

SALARY PACKAGE:

Your Salary Package is made up of the following: - 

  • Salary Sacrifice Packaging valued up to $15,990 per annum – adding approximately $7,200 to your take home pay per annum.
  • Meals and Entertainment Package up to $2,600 per annum.
  • 9-Day Fortnight (for full-time employees).
  • Percentage of Earnings – between 65% and 75% when exceeding KPI targets.
  • 5 Weeks Annual Leave.
  • 2 Weeks Personal Leave.
  • Paid Public Holidays. 
  • CPD Allowance - $2,000 to $3,000 per annum. 
  • Professional Development Leave - 1 week per annum. 
  • Paid Professional Memberships and Registrations. 
  • Superannuation valued at 11%.
  • PAYG Tax. 
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance Allowance. 
  • Supervisors may receive an additional bonus. 
  • Relocation allowance (if applicable).

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work outside of standard business hours, including nights, weekends and public holidays. 
  • A current driver's licence is essential or ability to obtain. 
  • A First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.
  • A Blue Card (Working with Children Card QLD)* or ability to obtain.
  • A Federal Police Check or ability to obtain.

* No Card, No Start legislation means that the successful applicant will need to hold a valid blue card before they start work. IWC will cover the cost of this application for the successful candidate.
