Health & Safety Advisor - Birmingham

Salary £40,000 - £55,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)


  • 36.5-hour week - Daily hours of 7.5 Monday to Thursday and 6.5 Friday.
  • Flexible start / Finish times.
  • 25 working days holiday plus normal statutory holidays.

We're looking for someone who shares our client's commitment to excellence. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our team members and clients across the UK.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of experts to write CDM documentation and procedures.
  • Conduct nationwide site inspections and audits to uphold H&S compliance standards.
  • Engage directly with contractors and site management to provide support, education, and guidance.
  • Assist senior members in fulfilling the role of CDM Advisor/Principal Designer for a prominent hotel and hospitality provider in the UK.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparation of pre-construction information.
  • Reviewing construction plans
  • Conducting risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Providing expert advice on CDM2015 regulations.
  • H&S Project set up.
  • Providing essential administrative support.
  • Conducting site inspections and monitoring visits to ensure Health & Safety compliance.
  • Ensuring projects are completed efficiently within budgetary constraints.
  • Providing support to senior staff on H&S related issues


Experience and Skills:

  • A health and safety qualification such as a NEBOSH Certificate is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Background or experience in the construction industry.
  • Understanding of CDM regulations 2015.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proactive, professional, and personable demeanour.
  • Possession of a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle as travel to sites across the UK will be required.
