Practice Manager - Leaving Care

Ackerman Pierce is actively seeking a Practice Manager to join a Leaving Care team within the Social Care industry in Merseyside. This exciting opportunity comes with an initial contract duration of 3-6 months, and there’s potential for extension based on your performance and internal circumstances.


Responsibilities for this role encompass a range of critical tasks:

  • Understanding Relevant Legislation: Stay informed about the legal framework that governs social care practices.
  • Quality Assurance of Cases: Ensure that cases are handled with precision and adhere to established standards.
  • Quality Assurance of Systems and Processes: Continuously improve and monitor the effectiveness of systems and processes.
  • Current Legislation Knowledge: Keep up-to-date with the latest legal requirements.
  • Auditing of Cases: Conduct thorough reviews to maintain high standards.
  • Child-Centered Practices: Champion practices that prioritize the well-being of children, including direct work and participation.
  • Supervision of Professional Staff: Lead and guide a team of professionals.
  • Recruitment: Play a key role in recruiting and retaining talent.
  • Building Strong Partnerships: Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance services.
  • Budget Management: Efficiently manage delegated team budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.


Minimum Requirements:

  • SWE Registration: Registered with the Social Work England.
  • 5 Years Post-Qualifying Experience: Demonstrated expertise within the Social Care industry.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB: We can assist in obtaining this if needed.
  • Eligibility to Work in the UK: Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
