About the role:

The HSSEQ Advisor is the HSE project lead providing HSE oversight and governance.

They will monitor and inspect practices and procedures to ensure all service activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner and in full compliance with requirements of legislation, JFD HSE system, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

The HSSEQ Advisor shall provide resources and information to employees and management as needed and shall assist in the provision of a comprehensive health and safety service at site level in order to meet company and statutory requirements.


Your key responsibilities will also include:

  • the HSE Lead, responsible for independent safety oversight across the Service, ensuring compliance to HSR governance covering operational and non-operational activities to help assist the business maintain a safe working environment.
  • for managing and implementing the Safety Management Plan for the service, inclusive of the generation of documentation, conduct of customer and internal reviews and action closure to ensure compliance with the Service Contract and HSE legislation.
  • for specific activities/requirements in support of JFD execution of HSE,
  • of HSE training, risk assessments, audits, investigations.
  • on-site/operation activities to provide independent HSE oversight and support to the Operations/Embarkation/Project Managers, providing oversight for customer, JFD and supplier personnel.
  • implementation of HSE safety communications across JFD, inclusive of safety
  • HSE requirements, lessons learnt, to improve and maintain the highest level of safety culture.
  • and further developing project governance documents including Safety and Environmental Management Plans, Safety and Environmental Case Report, Hazard Logs, Hazardous Materials Register, Defence Legislation Register and Environmental Impacts Register assisted by independent Safety & Environmental Advisors.


What do you need?

  • experience in a similar role.
  • General Certificate.
  • of Accident / Incident Investigation.
  • of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 requirements.
  • Auditor experience.
  • positive and solution focused approach to work.
  • communication skills and ability to interact at all levels of the organisation,
  • customers.
  • PC Skills/ Computer literacy.
  • attention to detail.
  • operational experience would be an advantage.


Flexible to travel to local and/or overseas sites if required.
