  • Analyse, collate, and prepare all clinical and related internal and external documentation into the approved health record in accordance with the Australian Standard (AS) 2828 Health Records and Agency policies, protocols, and guidelines.
  • Methodically prepare and accurately enter data associated with patient information including reviewing, scanning, uploading, and maintaining clinical documentation, applying quality assurance processes and registering/updating patient demographics into the health information systems in a timely, and confidential manner.
  • Undertake administrative and clerical duties including processing confidential patient health records, both digitised and paper based.
  • Input, retrieve, and update internal and external documentation into the hospital’s digitised, primary health record in a structured manner that meets the needs of clinical users and facilitates ease of access and storage of health record information.
  • Apply quality assurance activities including sustaining the integrity of clinical information in relation to processing, scanning, filing and maintaining the health record to support the accuracy in the provision of safe patient care, and capturing statistical data to support to these activities.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term, part time, day worker position working 68.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2025

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $64,125 to $68,925 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Skills in administrative functions including high-level data entry

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  • serious drug offences
  • crimes involving dishonesty
  • Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
