Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services are looking for several Staff Specialists to join their team at Logan Mental Health Service. The primary purpose of the position is to provide high quality psychiatric services and demonstrate clinical leadership. The position also provides supervision to medical officers and RANCZP trainees.PLEASE NOTE: Applications will be reviewed periodically over the 6-month advertising period.

About the Role

• The position will support the strategic direction and ongoing development of MSAMHS and to contribute to the overall development and quality of services.
• The position provides direct psychiatric clinical services to patients of the Division of Adult Mental Health Services (Logan – MSAMHS) and will lead a multi-disciplinary team in delivering high quality clinical care to patients.
• To provide a collaborative working relationship with psychiatrists of all Divisions as well as the Executive Director of Clinical Services; Director of Allied Health & Therapies; Director of Nursing; Directors of Clinical and Corporate Governance; and Director of Recovery and Social Inclusion. This collaboration will ensure provision of evidence informed addiction and mental health care while promoting budget integrity.
• It is expected the position provides psychiatric clinical services out of business hours to the advertised locations.
• It is expected that the position will support the Clinical Directors and Division Directors of Academic Clinical Units: Division of Adult Mental Health Services (Psychosis, Resource & Access Services, Mood), Older Persons, CYMHS, and Rehabilitation.
