Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Location: Sault Ste. Marie & Surrounding Areas, Ontario

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Clear Police Vulnerable Persons Sector Check.
  • Completed stage 1 TB Test.
  • Hold a valid class “G” driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle.
  • Appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Access and ability to use printer/scanner and technology as necessary.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to determine their functional limitations and goals.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that address clients' needs and goals, incorporating evidence-based interventions and therapeutic modalities.
  • Provide direct therapy services to clients in various settings, including home, community, and clinic-based environments.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care and optimal client outcomes.
  • Educate clients, caregivers, and other stakeholders on strategies for improving functional independence and participation in daily activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client assessments, progress, and interventions in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
