Head of Carbon Asset Development

Join a NatureTech company who are on a mission to restore a million hectares of rainforest, sequestering CO2 and reviving indigenous biodiversity. They provide top-tier carbon and biodiversity credits for major global investors.


As their Technical Lead for Carbon Asset Development, you will have primary responsibility for turning reforestation opportunities into registered and validated carbon removal projects.


The Role at a Glance:

  • Lead the carbon asset development activities
  • Lead all technical analysis of new and existing restoration forestry carbon projects
  • Manage a growing team working on carbon asset development workstreams
  • Coordinate with in-country project development and forestry execution


About You:

  • Proven track record in forestry carbon project development or verification within a project developer, consultancy, standard-setting body or VVB
  • Strong working understanding of carbon standards and methodologies
  • Hands-on experience of the full validation process and familiar with project design documentation for Verra submission
  • An understanding of the social dimensions of forestry projects
