The Risk Management Team at the Mackay Base Hospital are seeking applications for a Compliance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

  • The Compliance Manager is a key role in assuring the implementation and maintenance of compliance activities in line with legislative and policy requirements within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS), including development, implementation and monitoring of the Fraud and Corruption Control Policy and Procedures.
  • The role provides compliance advice and support in ensuring the development and implementation of robust frameworks, policies and procedures within the health service and has a set of systems to control, measure, and manage any risk the organisation may face and support all Health Service business areas in their compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies.
  • The Compliance Manager reports directly to the Program Manager, Risk and Fraud Governance.

About the Team

The Strategy, Governance portfolio comprises of various functions, including strategy, integrated planning, organisational service agreement strategy and management, organisational performance and reporting, board governance, risk and compliance, internal audit, legal, consumer and community engagement, media and communications and emergency and disaster management for the MHHS.
