About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrate ability to provide woman-centred care across the entire continuum of pregnancy.
  • Demonstrate ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate the provision of care.
  • Demonstrate ability to critically think in relation to planning and responding to potentially rapidly changing clinical situations.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will will work in partnership with women, their families and other Caseload midwives as part of a Midwifery Group Practice. Each midwife will be allocated a low-moderate risk caseload of 36 - 40 women per year (pro-rata) to provide evidence-based care across the continuum of pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period.

About your role:

  • Provide effective and efficient clinical care in the area of Midwifery and work in collaboration with the Midwife Unit Manager to ensure the maintenance of safe standards in patient care.
  • Effectively manage self and work with the Midwife Unit Manager/Clinical Midwife Educator to meet unit midwifery staff development and education needs.
  • Accurately conducts comprehensive and systematic assessments, analysing information and data and takes action based on this information, communicating outcomes as the basis for practice.
