Clinical Nurse (Aged Care)

Are you an experienced and qualified nurse who is interested in seeking personal and career growth? Most importantly, do you have a genuine passion to support our elderly to age well whilst remaining on the rural and remote land on which they live?

South West Hospital and Health Service has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse to join our team at Waroona Multipurpose Centre in Charleville QLD.

Join us in building better health in the bush!

The Clinical Nurse is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The clinical nurse assumes responsibility for professional leadership on the ward, service or unit and applies critical thinking across all the domains.

Explore your love for nursing, connect with people from different walks of life, and be the help to our elderly community who really need it. This is an opportunity for you to educate, support and mentor our passionate rural and remote team of nurses.

The very nature of what we do and who we are is the real opportunity. Providing health care in the bush is full of challenges, however, it remains the most rewarding of human experiences.

Escape the city crowds and discover the red dirt wonderland where the skies are as big as the characters you will meet. Charleville is the largest town in South West Queensland, situated on the banks of the Warrego River in the heart of Mulga Country. Charleville is a reminder that the good things in life shouldn't be hurried, it's a chance to embrace the simple things in life and a celebration of community spirit with the annual Charleville Cup Races the highlight of summer.
