Registered Nurse - HC - Nurse

We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our highly skilled Victorian Cardiology team. You will be part of our multidisciplinary service and consistently demonstrate high standards of both clinical and administrative patient care.

What you’ll do:

  • Work in our team-based care clinics to help coordinate and support the management of both cardiovascular and structural heart patients. You will use a systematic, empathetic approach to help improve both our patient outcomes and their experience.
  • Preparation and collection of patient information prior to clinics
  • Patient assessment and education
  • Assist with providing medically accurate letters to referrers
  • Phone support for patient and families between clinics
  • Facilitate effective lines of communication with your immediate team as well as doctors, cardiac physiologists, and the administrative team with aim of delivering best practice care to our patients
  • Flexibility to work across various sites as needed.

Who you are:

  • Eligible for registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
  • Strong cardiac background with minimum 5 years of nursing experience in cardiology, intensive care, or ED. Specific structural heart experience advantageous but not required
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • High level of literacy with strong written communication skills, which will enable the construction of medically accurate letters to referring GPs
  • Ability to manage patient issues over the phone
  • Commitment to offering exceptional patient focused care
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate computer skills and data management ability
  • Continuing Professional Development Focus.
