One of our Victorian based clients is seeking a Clinical Unit Head of Cardiology This health service is a based within a 2 hour drive from Melbourne CBD; with over 4500 staff this 724-bed service treats more than 45,000 inpatients and triages more than 65,000 emergency attendees.

The Clinical Unit Head of Cardiology will manage and lead the Cardiology department with appropriate delegation of tasks to direct reports and trainees.

The appointee is expected to lead departmental activities including

Clinical governance (including safety and quality)

o Quality improvement

o Data analytics including collection, analysis and reporting.

o Accreditation

Clinical re-design of workflows and practices

o Standardisation / reduction in variability

o Departmental protocols

As part of the leadership team you are an integral part of the health care service team, providing leadership and direction to a dedicated staffing group.
