Queensland Ramsay Graduate Pathways Nursing & Midwifery Program - August 2024 Intake

Our Graduate Pathways Program is a two-year program designed to empower you as you transition into the nursing field:

First Year: You'll receive comprehensive support to ensure a smooth transition into the professional world. Through tailored mentorship and practical experience, we will empower you to excel in your clinical practice and gain the confidence needed to thrive in the field.

Second Year: You'll transition into your substantive role while simultaneously exploring a variety of development streams that align with your interests and aspirations. These include on-the-job consolidation, scholarships, postgraduate study, EN to RN transition programs and more.

Specialties & Rotations Available

The program offers the flexibility to rotate across different specialties or sites.

Specialties include:

• Perioperative : Assist in surgical procedures and be part of a dedicated team. We offer rotations through PACU, anaesthetics & scrub scout.
• General Medical : Make a real difference in patients' lives on medical units.
• General Surgical : Contribute to surgical care and recovery.
• Mental Health : Support individuals on their path to recovery, incorporating rotations across other specialties or specialized rotations within Mental Health.
• Rehabilitation : Help patients regain their strength and independence. Rotations may encompass various specialties or provide focused training within rehabilitation settings.
• Endoscopy : Assist healthcare professionals during minimally invasive procedures used for diagnosis and treatment.
• Oncology : Gain valuable experience in this ever-evolving field.
• Maternity : Provide care and support to new mothers and babies.
• Critical Care: Thrive in high-acuity clinical environment with the right support.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Be passionate about providing your learned knowledge and skills to develop your dream profession of becoming a Nurse!
• You must have completed or be on track to complete your Nursing or Midwifery degree (Diploma or Bachelor's) by July 2024
• Have full working rights in Australia.
• Meet the requirements to become an Enrolled Nurse, a Registered Nurse, or a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) prior to your commencement.
