About This Registered Nurse - Critical Care/ICU Role
Carejobz Recruitment are recruiting experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses to join our client's close-knit Critical Care team on a full-time basis.
You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure we provide high levels of patient care.
Situated in the north-western suburbs of Melbourne, our client's Private Hospital is a comprehensive medical facility. It is equipped with 186 registered beds, an emergency department, five operating theatres, a 12-bed Critical Care Complex, and a bustling day surgery/endoscopy unit, offering an extensive array of services to the community.
This hospital is recognised for its expertise in various medical fields, including orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), and gynaecology.
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standards of evidence-based, person-centred patient care
  • Demonstrate professional practice as evidenced by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's policies and processes
  • Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintaining their own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates and students
  • Act as a valued member of the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the healthcare continuum
  • Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high-quality patient outcomes
Essential Criteria:
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in ICU
  • Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards
  • Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
