    Exciting opportunities to work in a permanent, full time or part-time capacity in our Day Oncology Unit. This beautiful, purpose-built space located in the Grey Street building at Epworth Freemasons, is a sanctuary for patients undergoing cancer treatment, with 3 hillrom beds and 17 recliner chairs.

    Our teams provide care and support patients through diagnosis, treatment and palliative care for multiple types of cancers (such as breast, renal, pancreatic, colorectal, gastric, lung) and be responsible for providing evidenced-based care to Oncology and Haematology patients as well as other conditions requiring specialist infusional care. Epworth Freemasons also has a strong partnership with the Haematology and Oncology Clinical Trials Teams.

    In conjunction to providing chemotherapy and infusion support to our patients we have exciting opportunities to provide delivery of Apheresis procedures, which include ECP (Photopheresis), TPE (plasma exchange) and stem cell collection/transplant. We are the only private hospital in Victoria offering ECP (photopheresis) to patients.

    • Ensuring patient flow is managed whilst providing high standards of patient care

    To be successful in this role…

    You are an experienced oncology or haematology nurse who is passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes. A strong communicator, you have a supportive and engaging style that enables you to easily build rapport with patients and their families. You enjoy collaborating with team members to support the development and growth of the service. You are invested in your career and are seeking to partake in career development pathways.

    You will have:

    • Current nursing registration with AHPRA
    • Previous experience in Haematology and/or Oncology nursing
    • Current competence and certificate in administration of cytotoxic agents
    • Contemporary knowledge of best practice in cancer nursing care
    • Post Graduate qualifications in Oncology or be working towards (desirable)
    • Chemotherapy competency or a willingness to complete chemotherapy training and willingness to complete further advanced specialist skills training
    • Apheresis and transplant skills would be highly valued

    The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses – AUD $66,710 - $93,669 + super + entitlements depending on registration type, year level and position (prorated for part-time).
