The Opportunity:

Are you an experienced Practice Nurse passionate about delivering excellent patient care and want to be a part of a progressive healthcare team? Bupa is actively recruiting for a part time Practice Nurse to join our dedicated team in North Balwyn, Melbourne.

The heart of the role

We’re looking for experienced Registered Nurses with a passion for General Practice to build on their previous experience and be part of a growing health community, where a holistic and dedicated approach to comprehensive patient care continues to be our priority.

In this role you will:

• Manage and comply with relevant Infection Prevention & Control Guidelines

• Have primary responsibility for cold chain management

• Be responsible for reprocessing of reusable medical devices

• Maintain accurate documentation and manage recall/reminder systems, data and clinical software

• Manage inventory and ordering of medical supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.

• Deliver continuous quality improvement activities and initiatives through the review of systems and procedures to ensure efficient and accessible care

• Provide top-notch patient care, including vaccinations, wound care, infusions, and health assessments.

• Assist in chronic disease management and deliver patient education.

• Collaborate seamlessly with our multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

What will you bring?

• Current RN registration, Division 1 with APHRA

• Previous experience in general practice or primary care is highly preferred.

• Strong communication skills with patient-focused approach.

• Proficiency in performing general practice nurse duties, including immunizations, procedure assistance, wound care, and stock checking.

• Nurse immuniser qualified

• Experience with all types of Care Plans and Health Assessments, showcasing leadership in chronic disease management processes.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

• Experience with Best Practice software or similar is an advantage.
